I am Agnes Muthoni. For more than 20 years I have helped scale financial services and talent across Africa. Today I help organisations move past AI pilots to results that show up in their numbers.
From scaling fintech to building with AI.
I started out helping to scale financial services and talent across Africa: at Standard Chartered, at Andela, where we trained 300,000+ young Africans and connected 30% of them to paid work, and at Tala, where I was approved by the Central Bank of Kenya to sit on the country leadership team.
Then I started waking up at 3:30am to learn AI. I am a non-coder, yet within months I had built a live directory of 1,181 verified stores through a conversation with Claude. The gap between idea and execution had collapsed, and I could not unsee it.
Today I am completing Applied Agentic AI for Organizational Transformation at MIT, and I spend time with Nairobi's builder community, from the Claude Impact Lab to the NCBA Loop hackathon.
My work now is simple to describe. I help African organisations move past pilots to results that show up in their numbers, without expanding the problems AI could solve.
